Love to read but don’t want to spend your hard-earned dollars? Me too!
I could read my life away if I’m not careful. I get so caught up in the fictional world and don’t want to put my book down until I’m finished with it. In fact my book collection seems to be slowly overtaking my house.

I’ve read a lot of good books over the years, some I’ve paid full price for, some I’ve bought secondhand, and now some that I’ve even read for free. Most times the books I’ve read have been good. But when it’s a bad book for whatever reason, I get sad.
Sad because it often was a book that I did not finish (dnf). An even worse feeling is when I spent money on those books classified as a dnf.
I started getting hesitant to spend money on authors I wasn’t familiar with. (actually I’m hesitant to spend money on anything these days) What if I didn’t find a book as enjoyable as everyone on TikTok said it was?
I would borrow books from my library, but then forget to return them. I ended up owing fines close to or sometimes even more than the value of the book. Which meant I still spent money on books, this time with nothing to show for it.
I also used the Kindle app to read books, but most of the ones I wanted to read needed a Kindle Unlimited subscription or weren’t free.

I LOVE Libby. I personally use it on my iPad, but you can use it on a Kindle, tablet or phone too. Don’t have a Kindle? You can get one here. (affiliate link)
